Privacy Policy

STAR Results | Effective date: October 14, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how STAR Results collects, uses and shares personal information when you browse our Thinkific course site, enrol, purchase FOCUSED Sales Coaching or another course, or participate in learning activities. It also explains your choices and how to contact us about your information.

1 Who is responsible

STAR Solutions That Achieve Results Inc., operating as STAR Results, is responsible for the personal information we handle in providing our courses. Thinkific hosts our learning platform and processes information to provide its services. Steven Rosen is our privacy contact and can be reached at [email protected].

2 Information we collect

Account and contact information: your name, email address and any optional profile information you provide. Thinkific processes account authentication information, including login credentials, to operate your account. If relevant to enrolment, we may also receive your employer, job title and team or group assignment.

Purchase information: your billing address, order details, payment status, transaction references, refunds and subscription or instalment information. Payment credentials are collected and processed by the payment provider used at checkout. Please do not send full payment card details to us by email or in assignments.

Learning and communication information: course enrolments, lesson progress, completion records, quiz or assignment responses, discussion posts, feedback and communications with us. You choose what to include in optional activities and should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive or confidential information.

Technical information: the platform may collect IP addresses, device and browser details, session information, cookies and activity logs to operate the site, maintain security and measure use of learning features. The information available to us depends on the enabled platform features.

We collect information directly from you, through your activity on the site, and from payment and platform providers. If an employer purchases enrolment for you, we may receive the contact and enrolment details needed to provide your access.

3 Why we use information

We use information to create and administer accounts; deliver purchased courses and resources; track progress and provide completion records; process payments and refunds; answer questions; send enrolment, access and billing notices; troubleshoot delivery problems; protect accounts and prevent fraud; and meet legal and accounting obligations.

We may use learning activity and feedback to identify where course delivery or explanations need improvement. Where practical, we use aggregated or de-identified information for this purpose.

Optional marketing communications about courses, books and services are sent only with the consent or other permission required by applicable law. Marketing consent is separate from enrolment, and accepting these policies does not itself subscribe you to promotional emails. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. We honour marketing unsubscribe requests within ten business days, or sooner when required by applicable law. Essential service and transaction messages may still be sent while you have an account or an unresolved transaction.

4 Consent and choices

When you provide information to create an account, buy a course or request support, we use it for those stated purposes and explain any additional uses. We seek separate consent where required for optional uses, sensitive information or a new purpose. This policy does not authorize unrestricted use of your information.

You may withdraw consent by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. We will explain the consequences, including whether we can continue providing a service that requires the information. You can decline optional marketing and optional profile fields without losing access to a course you purchased.

5 Service providers and other disclosures

We share information as needed with providers that host the platform, process payments, support communications and operate authorized course features. We require appropriate privacy and security protections for information handled on our behalf. Some providers also process information for their own legal, security or payment obligations under their own privacy policies.

Key providers are Thinkific, for course hosting, account administration and learning records, and Thinkific Payments and its payment partners, including Stripe, where used for checkout and payment processing. Thinkific privacy information is available at https://www.thinkific.com/privacy-policy/ and Stripe privacy information at https://stripe.com/privacy. Zoom hosts live coaching calls and processes participant and connection information and the audio, video or chat shared during the session. Zoom privacy information is available at https://www.zoom.com/en/trust/privacy/privacy-statement/. If a separate provider is used for an optional assessment, live session, email service or another course feature, we will identify that provider and explain the relevant information sharing in this policy or a notice made available before that use. Contact us for information about the providers handling your enrolment.

If your employer sponsors enrolment, we will explain any employer reporting before enrolment or disclosure, identifying the information to be shared, the recipients and the purpose. Reporting may include enrolment, progress or completion records only as disclosed and with consent or other lawful authority as required. We do not give an employer unrestricted access to your private communications or assignment content merely because it purchased a seat. Any proposed disclosure of that content will be explained separately and will require consent or other lawful authority as applicable.

Your posts in a shared discussion are visible to its participants. Before recording a live learning session, we will explain the purpose, participants who can access the recording and the intended retention period, and obtain consent where required. We will obtain separate permission before using identifiable learner content or testimonials in marketing.

We may disclose information when lawfully required, to respond to a valid legal request, or as permitted by law to address fraud, security threats or legal claims. If the business is sold or reorganized, a lawful transfer of relevant records may occur subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.

6 Processing outside Canada

Thinkific and other service providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States or other countries. Information processed outside your jurisdiction may be subject to that country's laws and lawful access by its courts or authorities. We remain responsible for information transferred for processing on our behalf and use appropriate contractual and other safeguards. Contact us for more information about the providers relevant to your enrolment.

7 Cookies and similar technologies

The course site uses cookies or similar technologies for functions such as signing in, maintaining sessions and securing access. Before enabling optional analytics or advertising technologies, we will identify their providers, purposes and relevant information collection in a cookie notice and provide choice controls and obtain consent where required. Where those controls are provided, you may manage optional technologies through them. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent some course features from working.

8 Security and retention

We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including restricting access to people who need it to deliver and administer our services. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a privacy breach occurs, we will investigate and provide notifications and reports required by applicable law.

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for course delivery, account support, the purposes described in this policy and applicable legal obligations. Account and learning records are retained according to the access and support needs of your enrolment; assignment and communication records according to the time needed to provide feedback, handle support and resolve relevant issues; and recordings according to the retention period explained before recording. Transaction and accounting records may need to be retained after course access ends to meet legal obligations. We review continued retention against those purposes and securely delete or de-identify information no longer needed, subject to provider backup cycles and lawful retention requirements. A refund or unenrolment does not automatically delete all records. Contact us for the retention period or criteria applicable to a particular record.

9 Access correction and complaints

You may ask to access your personal information, correct inaccuracies, withdraw consent or request deletion where applicable. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing or receive a portable copy. These rights are subject to applicable legal limits and exceptions. We may need proportionate verification of your identity before acting on a request.

Email [email protected] with your request or privacy concern. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any refusal or retention requirement. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca or another privacy authority with jurisdiction.

10 Age and policy changes

Our courses are intended for adults of the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly enrol minors. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through our course site, please contact us so we can address it.

We will post policy updates with a revised effective date and provide notice of material changes where appropriate. We will obtain new consent when required before using existing information for a materially different purpose.
